Interview with Mr. Aksir Salani
Hello, Mr. Aksir it was very nice of you to spend this time in interviewing you. I really appreciate it. I hope you can fully answer some of these questions.
Now, I see you have a very nice job at Double Double. Let's start off about yourself.
What kind of person are you? How would your friends describe you?
Well, I'm a very friendly and sociable guy and likes to be among people. I'm not very
independent and I'm very serious about the way things get done. I'm very honest and fair to other people. I'm also very quick especially in the kitchen so i guess that gives me an edge over my employees. (laughing)
What are some interests of yours? Describe yourself apart from your job.
Umm.. I'm a very good soccer fan and I enjoy watching the English Premier League. I also enjoy watching some football at times. I watched the Grey cup this weekend that was exciting. I have two kids and a loving wife. I live in Scarborough with my family and plan on buying a Nissan Altima soon. I live in a house and i like to eat pizza as you can see.
What do you think of your job here at Double Double?
Well, it is very hard to say. Double Double is a very great restaurant which i enjoy working at. As you know i'm the manager of this place and i enjoy watching you kids come in and eat our delcious pizza. I'm very please with my job here and it is very satisfying to work with the employees and see the happy customers.
If you could change anything about your job what would it be?
I would change the pay. I think my pay for us and the employees should be higher and i would change the working shifts of the restaurant. Some of the hours can be stressful and mess you plans sometimes.
Have you tried to change your job?
No, lately i haven't found the time and the right places to apply for jobs. The position i'm in right now is very good and i wouldn't want to change it and work in a different work environment.
What do you in the Double Double restaurant?
As i said earlier i'm not as busy as the rest of the employees but i have my share of work. In the restaurant i must look over the employees making sure they are doing their job right and making the foods up to perfection. When we open in the morning we have lots to do in preparing foods and making dishes. We must prepare especially when the clock meets twelve marking lunch time the busy hour. I make sure that everything is up to date and we are making our good profit in the restaurant.
What experience do you need to aquire the job of a manager in Double Double?
When you work at Double Double you start off as an employee working for a higher status. You work part-time and move your way up the status. If the manager likes you he will promote you
thats how it goes in the industry.
Do you get along with the employees here?
Yes, if you put my way they have to get along with me. If any hesistation or any put downs are
set then they are fired. Overall the employees i work with are alright though
Are there any open spots for a new employee?
(Laughs) Sure just hand in an application/resume at any time and we will be happy to train you and get you started here.
